Harvested on the Phoenix Mountain in the country of NanTau, Taiwan, the tea is grown on the high plateaus 600 – 1200 meters above sea level. There, the climate is very cold all year round & very humid. This is how it got its name “Dong Ding” (Frozen Peak). Dong Ding Oolong is classified as yellow tea. The tealeaves have a dark green colour & appear in a dense, semi-sphere shape while the tea has a clear yellow colour & an elegant aroma. It has a rich, bittersweet taste & a pleasant aftertaste.
