| 1) Warming
the Pot Before brewing any tea, fill the teapot with boiling water. By doing this, it will clean the teapot and increase the pot's temperature to allow the tea to release its full colour, fragrance, and taste. |
2) Placing
Tealeaves Using the tea scoop and slide the tealeaves into the pot. The amount will depend on what type of tea and personal preference. |
3) Hitting
the Pot Lightly hit the teapot with the palm of your hand. This allows the tealeaves to settle on the bottom of the pot evenly. Fill boiling water into the pot and the heat will cause the tealeaves to bubble. You can use the lid to scrap it off. |

| 4) Pouring
the Tea Evenly place the teacups and pour out the tea in a circular motion. This allows each cup to be the same in taste and colour |

Enjoying the Tea Upon enjoying the tea, you first observe its colour, then smell its fragrance and lastly drink the tea. When tasting the tea, use your thumb and middle finger to pick-up the teacup and cover your mouth with your index finger. |

Smelling the Cup After enjoying the tea, you can smell the fragrance that remains in the cup. |
